Головна - Світова геополітика - Estonian Prime Minister: Russia will pay a high price for steps against Ukraine

Estonian Prime Minister Kaya Kallas told Reuters that the EU must make it clear to Russia that it will pay a heavy price for its actions against Ukraine. Callas, who was asked by Reuter in Paris after meeting with French President Macron, explained that Estonia’s military maneuvers and the construction of a fence on the border with Russia are preventive in nature. She also noted that the EU must fulfill its promise to impose sanctions against the Belarusian airline Belavia, despite the fact that some EU countries have expressed doubts about the feasibility of such a procedure. Callas warned that non-compliance with such a decision on sanctions would be seen by Alexander Lukashenko’s regime as a sign of the weakness of the European community.
